We receieved notice that the National Park Service took action on Southwood Park's National Register of Historic Places nomination on December 22, 2009. If you heard any "WOO-HOOs" and wondered what they were about, now you know. So, it's official, federally... we are listed as "historic" in the eyes of the government. In a way, this is just further emperical evidence that this is a great place to live! So, thank you to the folks who worked hard on our nomination: Angie Quinn, Creager Smith, Don Orban, Mike Galbraith and Lori Graf. We appreciate your hard work! We're looking forward to hoisting those wonderful brown historic district signs this spring on a nice, warm day!
It's official, federally.... we're listed on the Register!
