You can Get A Free Tree

The City of Fort Wayne is continuing its Citizen Match Tree Planting Program. Typically, citizens would pay just $50 to get a street tree planted in the park strip in front of their home. But if you live in Southwood Park we will cover this fee for you! Please reach out to us with your address and we will get your site assessed for planting this fall. If you’ve already applied on your own and paid the fee, please reach out to us for reimbursement.

If you live in one of our sections that do not have a suitable park strip for planting a street tree, we will reimburse you up to $50 if you plant a tree in your front yard.
